After months of sewing late at night, peeling the skin off my fingers and holding in the tears of doubt and anxiety, I have completed by look book for my senior collection.
I am incredibly proud of the end result and I anticipate to have these shots printed and presented for my portfolio.
I shot the look book with my good friend and model, Crystal Garcia.
Let’s have a look at the process work:
I wanted to create the PERFECT HUMAN based on different materials including vinyl and neoprene. I wanted to work with puzzle pieces and how muscles work are aligned with the body.
LOOK 1: Asymmetrical Neoprene Jacket with Knit Sleeves & Collar
Wide Dome Paneled Pant with structured leg.
LOOK 2: Open Shoulder Mesh Dress with Flounce Skirt with Vinyl Trim
LOOK 3: Jersey Stretch Cotton Open Shoulder Dress

Days after reviving my CFDA portfolio, I found my journal with very disturbing images and sketches that I have collected through out my winter break last year.
After the death of my grandfather, I had researched anatomy and the human body in general as well as Blood, LOTS OF BLOOD.
The more gore, the better.
I emotionally blocked myself from feeling pain, so I decided to view pain through the most morbid way possible.
Here are a few pages from my journal that best represent my process.
I decided for my lingerie collection, I should design for women who are considered to be “well fed” in the fashion industry. My inspiration for my designs are derived from the lively and vivid colors of Mexican Folk Culture as well as the event for the Day of the Dead. Enjoy!
Don’t forget to follow me on:
I finally finished sewing my body suit and I have to saw out of all the frustration and pressure to do a phenomenal job, I managed to pull through. All I have to do is schedule a photoshoot for this piece to add to my collection. Maybe I’ll make a few bodysuits in the future since my patterns are perfected for a seize 10 figure.
What do you guys think?
I’ve decided to take part in designing a collection for Archery. I had a lot to play with since the usual uniform in archery requires only common clothes. I took inspiration from one of the most famous female archers, Wonder Woman. A strong amazonian woman who is ahead of her time, stronger than most men, and has a strong hand in archery.
The main process of me designing the pieces was the be in effect of posture and stretch in the armholes. I wanted to give my girls a little more edge and style. I wanted to focus on anti-perspiration, and all around comfort.
The higher the armholes and more room in the sleeves, means more movement in the arms. The arm covers are used to for the wrist padding for the comfort of holding the arrow with out piercing the skin.
The side panels on both the bodice and leggings/shorts are for support and firmness in the sides for ergonomic stance an archer much focus on when posing. Designing for a specific sports requires a lot of thought process and smart arrangements of comfortable fabrics and manipulations.

So I guess I could call myself busy from time to time. Which is always a good thing for anyone who is a perfectionist and doesn’t like rush completing their projects. For my case, I took months in doing this whole layout for my Spring Collection. I was inspired in essence of the set design and background from the 60s flick, Barbarella staring the Bombshell Goddess, Jane Fonda who can still slay any 20 year old with her flawless physique and demure beauty. I’ve been following a pattern of being inspired by cult films lately. My collection is more for athletic wear and I am absolutely in love with the crop tops and body suits.
